Change of Address
File a change of address at least 10 days before moving. Yu can file the change at your local post office or online.
Voter Registration
Applications for registration can be obtained from the Division of Elections, the Commissioner of Registration in Bergen County

or from your Municipal Clerk. Registration forms are also available in various State agencies and at Division of Motor Vehicle offices and can be obtained while transacting agency business. You can also obtain an application online, but you must mail it in, since your signature must be an original. The registration deadline to vote at the next election is 21 days prior to election day.
Driver's License
If you are moving to New Jersey from another state, you must transfer your out-of-state license within 60 days of your move or before your current license expires, whichever occurs first. The New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles requires a copy of your current driver's license and other official identification. There are seven locations in Bergen County, New Jersey to obtain a driver's license.
Utilities
Please call the utility companies at least 10 days to one week before moving. If you are moving out, the company will request a forwarding address for the final bill.
